St. Clare’s, founded in 1953, is an independent, co-educational, international college in Oxford. A not-for-profit charitable foundation dedicated to advancing international education and understanding. The Liberal Arts programme offers university level courses in English literature, Communications, History, Politics, Sociology, Economics and Business, Philosophy, Religion,Psychology, Mathematics,and Art History/Studio Art. Students can choose up to 4 core courses, taught in small groups and one tutorial, taught with one or two students. Earn up to 15 units of credits (transferable to any accredited US institution of higher education). Students may enroll for 1 or 2 semesters. New as of January 2006: Educational Studies Programme--a unique programme of study for undergraduate education majors, licensure students and trainee teachers; includes a monitored internship at a local primary or secondary school in the Oxford area and a specially designed seminar course on international education. Scholarships and internships available. Students from over 25 nationalities live and study in a lively international residential community.
