Curbridge is located just a mile from Witney on the A4095 road to Brize Norton. The Village is a triangle made up of the A4095 road, Main road and Well Lane and has approx. 150 houses. St. John's church, a Village hall, Grey Gables garage and The Lord Kitchener pub. Curbridge has a thriving Social Club that organises entertainment for local residents as well as other people who support local life through the local pub. The Club (Curbridge Social Club) organise the Annual Fete, Firework display, a special visit from Father Christmas and a special Christmas meal for all our older folks. The Village also has other Clubs, i.e. the "Wine circle" organised by John Pole, a former Landlord out the Lord Kitchener Pub. John was one of those responsible for the formation of Curbridge Social Club. If you fancy a go at the local game of "Aunt Sally" then a trip to the Lord Kitchener where our local team play every Thursday night will give you a taste of this traditional game. Finally the centre of attention as in most Villages and Hamlets is the local pub, the Lord Kitchener, run by Mark & Rona and Bev. Why not drop by and you'll be sure of a warm welcome. You never know, you may even bump into one local that knows everything and anything about Curbridge, Bill Mills is his name and Friday night down the "Kitch" is the best time to catch him.
